Here are some sketches from our trip to Italy. What blast! Short but sweet. The top three are from Florence ... two from the Chapel of the Medici's Tomb of Lorenzo II by Michelangelo and one from the Loggia in the center of old Florence. The bottom one is of a town we zipped by on the train from Milan to Venice (and an unfortunate train conductor I tried to draw).I did these pen and ink sketches in a tiny moleskin sketchbook, perfect for travelling light. I'm hoping to get back to some of these and other sketches in color!
