Happy New Year!

I managed to miss Jan. 1st and Chinese/Lunar New Year's ... just in time to catch Feb.26th! I'm sure it's celebrated as New Year's somewhere. I painted this after a crisp, chilly afternoon/evening walk around New Year's. Best wishes and blessings for the n ... well ... this year!

"Forest Friend - 100$ regular admission + book.
Forest Sponsor - 200$ includes admission + book + signed limited edition print
Forest Champion - $300 includes middle VIP live auction seating + book + signed limited edition print + gift certificate to Blowfish Sushi
Forest Hero - $500 includes front VIP live auction seating + book + an original drawing by one of the artists

Totoro Forest Project

A huge thanks to Dice Tsutsumi, Yukino Pang and the Project Committee for setting up such an amazing event! More than 200 pieces were contributed by artists to the Totoro Forest Project. An auction will be held Sept. 6, 2008 to help raise funds to preserve the forest around Tokyo, affectionately known by some as "The Totoro Forest."

My wife and I have been wonderfully busy with our new baby! ... so I dug up something old to share. These are several years old, but I've always liked these pieces, and/or at least the ideas behind them.
